Dear Friends,
I have decided to write a blog for several reasons. Thank you Monica and Linsey for your inspiration! As I have reflected on this last year, I am realizing that I often do not take the time to express myself and one of the ways that I love to express myself is through writing. If I can get over feeling like everything that I write has to be perfect to be seen by others, then I think I'll be ok. And also, I am trying to get over the fact that any random person could be looking at my life through this blog - it is a bit scarey, but I think the benifits outweigh the disadvantages!
Anyhow, as I was saying. I am wanting to find new ways to express myself - to you all - my friends and family who I would love to be with everyday, to tell you about what happened, how I'm doing and to hear from you too. So....this is a great way for me to keep in touch with you, share whats on my heart, and also, a way to value you myself - invest in my life enough to share with you all (something I am learning is important) as I work and live in community among my friends here in Lima. I am excited to get to share more of my life with you and for you to journey with me on this joyful, sorrowful path of beauty that I live on!
